As a Programme Manager, your role encompasses several critical tasks. You are entrusted with both overseeing sub-portfolios of work and delivering significant technology and business change initiatives that propel Thames’ progress toward achieving business area goals and desired outcomes.
What you’ll be doing as a Programme Manager
Lead & coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of project/programmes and sub-portfolio outcomes.
Work with the Head of Portfolio to support the ongoing development of the Project Manager team, helping lead the adoption of agile principles practices and cultural changes to improve how Thames Water delivers change across the organisation.
Support supplier management performance processes, including monthly reporting of supplier time, cost and quality metrics.
Create and maintain programmes and portfolio cost models covering actual, accrual, and forecast–challenging costs to drive value.
Building strong relationships and maintaining engagement across stakeholders. Ensuring your business stakeholder network is continually informed, engaged and listened too, as well as developing strong working relationships with digital colleagues from data engineering and technology engineering to architecture.
Developing aligned technology roadmap strategies that support business outcomes and prioritisation
Having a mindset that is not purely timescale focused but outcomes and value focused. Always looking ahead.Base Location – Hybrid – Clear Water Court Reading
Working Pattern – 36 hours
Other immediate demands – You may be required to attend meetings with stakeholders on site.

Extensive experience of a digital management delivery role and managing complex projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Experience of working with different delivery methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent
SAFe Practitioner, Scrum Master or equivalent
Experience with work force management platforms such as SalesForce or SAPDesirable
You have previously delivered IT projects involving third party suppliers
