International Payroll Manager
We are working with a global leader in the financial services sector who are looking to hire a Payroll lead to run their Payroll function Internationally.
The International Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll processes for employees across multiple countries. This role will ensure that all payroll operations are compliant with local laws and regulations, and that employees are paid accurately and on time. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of international payroll requirements and experience working with different payroll systems (Workday would be an advantage)
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees.
- Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements in each country where we operate.
- Work closely with HR and Finance to integrate payroll systems with other business systems, optimizing efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring high service levels and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and integrity. Prepare and present payroll reports to senior management.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes, implementing best practices and new technologies where appropriate.
- Lead and mentor a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance and support in managing day-to-day operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPP, CPA, CIPP) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in payroll management, with at least 3 years in an international or global payroll role.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge of global payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements across multiple countries.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
