Our client, a leading food manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to support their multiple UK business units in day-to-day procurement activities and to support with local and group purchasing projects.
Key responsibilities:

Develop and manage key supplier relationships to optimise local site operations.

Lead procurement activities in development projects, including sourcing, negotiation, and contractual agreements.

Drive and support procurement standardization processes.

Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and improvements within the purchasing process.

Collate quotes for new raw materials and packaging.
Candidate requirements

Relevant tertiary qualifications will be desirable.

Proven buying experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment

Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis and deriving insights

Advanced data management skills, especially in Excel

Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques
On offer:

Basic salary will be circa £38K to £40K
