The Service Desk Technician will provide crucial support to the technology department in a financial services setting, ensuring efficient operation and contributing to the successful delivery of IT solutions. This role will be a mixture of 1st/2nd line support.

The Service Desk Technician with be a part of a small team which feeds into a larger IT function.
Description
Provide internal technical support to colleagues across the office.
Assist in the delivery of IT solutions (e.g. diagnosing, problem-solving and providing support to users)
Ensure operational efficiency within the department
Work collaboratively with team members
Adhere to and implement company IT policies
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues
Provide 1st and 2nd line support to internal issues
Escalating tickets to a 3rd party supplier
Communicate effectively with non-technical staff

Profile
A successful Service Desk Technician should have:
Relevant academic qualifications are desired but, not essential (e.g. ITILv4/CompTIA A+)
Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a passion and attitude to learn
Excellent communication abilities/ customer service skills
A passion and interest in technology
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Will live in a commutable distance to Northwich. Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems and standard Office applications.
Technical Stack: Active Directory, Exchange, Windows (operating systems), Networks, CRM, Document Management systems etc. - some of the applications in house are bespoke and full training will be provided.
Job Offer
This is a full-time hybrid opportunity with 3 days spent in office and 2 days from home.
A competitive salary ranging from £25,000 to £29,000 per annum
35 hour working week with an hour lunch.
