Key Responsibilities

Balance Sheet and P&L Accounting. Collaborate with finance members and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

GL Reconciliations Prepare and manage general ledger reconciliations.

Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the Fixed Asset register.

Central Point of Contact: Work with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) to resolve issues efficiently.

Liaise with AR/AP to estimate cash flows and communicate with the wider business.

Focus on period-end accounting, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

Assist in the preparation and submission of required documents and returns for HMRC

Facilitate the external audit process by addressing auditor queries.

Understand and influence areas for improvement.

Identify and implement improvements across the business.

Create and maintain documentation in conjunction with finance and other business units.

Provide accurate and timely information to support business needs, including Budget, Forecast, and 3-Year Plans.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualified Accountant: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.

Proven track record in a large-scale, fast-paced organisation, ideally within a controls-focused finance team.

Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

Proactive, well-organised, and capable of delivering high-quality results.

Able to take initiative, learn quickly, and anticipate the needs of the finance and management team.

Excellent analytical and Excel skills.

Strong communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory compliance is advantageous.
