Export Sales Manager Role Profile
Here is an exciting International & Exports Sales Manager opportunity. This is a hybrid / WFH opportunity with frequent overseas travel (approx. once a month) to visit clients and distributors and attend exhibitions and trade shows. The client is a successful building materials and chemical product manufacturer serving the construction and engineering industry. They have consistently delivered excellent products to their respective markets and demonstrated strong revenue growth, company size, product ranges and projects (JVs).
The client is committed to speaking with strategic but motivated sales professionals with international sales experience selling into distribution markets. This is purely a ‘new business’ role, with account management and business development being a natural precursor, but you are highly incentivised and rewarded for new business.
LOCATION: UK Based with travel to the North-West, Yorkshire, & Europe
JOB DESCRIPTION: Export Sales Manager, International Sales Manager -
Ideally, you will be based in the Northwest or Yorkshire, or you will be based close to an international airport (45 minutes).
The International Export Sales Manager opportunity
The primary objective of the Export Sales Manager role is to continue growing the distribution and export network.
You will do this by:
• Spotting opportunities to cross-sell and increase brand awareness within existing networks
• Identifying and appointing new distributors as part of the company’s growth plan.
• Create and execute quarterly, 6-monthly, and yearly business plans – tracking analysis, and commit to achieving these goals alongside the team.
• You will be expected to travel and stay away, visit distributors, attend exhibitions and trade shows, and work closely with the senior leadership and the sales director.
• Calculate costing, produce quotations, and support customer sales enquiries.
• Manage CRM leads and opportunities, creating new records and updating them with relevant information.
• Receiving continuous product and technical training from your technical and sales colleagues
• Researching and understanding geographic trends, demands and opportunities
• Competitor analysis and reporting to senior management
Export Sales Manager Character Specification:
• 3-5 years of international or export sales experience
• You must have managed sales processes, including face-to-face business/customer engagement
• You WILL have a proven track record in an export sales role, specifically with experience selling to distributors worldwide. You will have experience working for an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing company.
• The company will consider an ambitious export sales co-ordinator or internal salesperson looking to step up
• Proficient in CRM systems, such as Salesforce and SAGE
• A well-organised and strategic with a passion for attention to detail
• Full clean driving license
• Passport
