Salary: £27k - £33k basic DOE with a £50k OTE

The Role: As Lettings Manager at this leading independent agency, you will be at the forefront of their lettings operations, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the lettings team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and motivate the lettings team to achieve and exceed targets.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting continuous professional development.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Business Development:
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow the lettings portfolio, including generating new landlord instructions.
Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract landlords and tenants.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure the lettings department operates in full compliance with all relevant property legislation, including health and safety, tenancy laws, and anti-money laundering regulations.
Keep up to date with changes in legislation and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures.
Oversee the preparation and execution of tenancy agreements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
Client Relations:
Provide exceptional service to landlords and tenants, addressing queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Act as the main point of contact for high-profile or complex cases, ensuring they are resolved satisfactorily.
Represent the agency at networking events and industry forums to promote our services and build the agency’s profile in the local market. Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in a senior lettings role, with a strong understanding of the lettings process, legislation, and property management.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve high performance.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex situations calmly and effectively.
Organisation: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of lettings legislation and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining compliance.
Technology: Proficient in using property management software and CRM systems.
Driving Licence: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential as is your own car insured appropriately for business use.
