The Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to bring in new business, managing daily operations, and overseeing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management, with desirable experience in buying or procurement within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities from existing and new clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships.
Review and refine operational processes to enhance performance and maximize growth.
Implement best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient business functioning.
Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of operations.
Work closely with sales and technical teams to develop accurate and consistent bids.
Ensure all proposals meet client requirements and align with company objectives.
Establish sales targets and develop strategies to achieve these goals.
Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Conduct risk assessments for new business initiatives.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide mentorship and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the renewable energy sector.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
Assist in the planning and development of new renewable energy products.
Collaborate with product development teams to ensure market needs are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in commercial management, with a strong track record of driving business growth.
Desirable experience in buying / procurement or wholesale, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
Strong understanding of the renewable energy market.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
