NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Lead who will be responsible for designing and delivering the Corporate Communications Strategy and the Stakeholder Strategy to strengthen the organisation’s brand, reach and influence.
As an organisation, we’ve transitioned to being a part of the NHS, and have defined a bold 10-year vision that requires us, through communications, to position the organisation as a part of the NHS system, with an intent to bring excellence in our procurement and supply chain capabilities, for the benefit of patient care.
The postholder will strategically lead, and be accountable for, the external communications function, providing professional advice, expertise, and leadership on all aspects of external media and stakeholder communications to the Executive Team and senior leaders.
This will include social media to raise brand awareness across all channels. The role holder will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of media, NHS England, and other relevant audiences. They will also lead on all crisis communications and will help position NHS Supply Chain as business thought leaders both within and outside of the healthcare arena.
The roll holder will develop the stakeholder strategy and create stakeholder engagement plans across the organisation. They will ensure that our value proposition is understood, and our key business narrative and focus messages are tailored to resonate with all stakeholder audiences and are equally understood internally. Our audiences include clinical, c-suite, procurement and finance professionals within the NHS.
The events team will also form part of the Lead's portfolio, where they will support in the management of the logistics of an event and show a return on investment of all events attended.

Design and implement a plan to position NHS Supply Chain as business thought leaders both within and outside of the healthcare arena.
Develop and maintain a network of stakeholder contacts who work in collaboration with us to address key issues and challenges, helping influence their organisations to showcase the value we add to their organisation. Sharing key messages to the relevant audiences.
Act as an advisor to the Executive team and senior leaders all aspects of media and speaker opportunities and messaging and corporate positioning on their area of expertise within the stakeholder landscape.
Use data and analytics to shape future media/social media releases, demonstrate ROI in all communication solutions, enable continuous improvement against set measurements.
Create and maintain strong relationships with media, NHS England and other relevant key stakeholders.
Lead on all crisis communications.
Support in the management of the logistics of an event and show a return on investment of all events attended.
Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organisation's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
Manage a diverse team of corporate communications, stakeholder relationship management and events professionals.
