The Project
As a highly skilled Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in a new build renewable energy project located in Norfolk. Your responsibilities will include the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations, ensuring the seamless delivery and management of materials and equipment. You will track progress, analyze performance metrics, and implement adjustments as needed to enhance operational efficiency. Your efforts will be significant in ensuring the project is completed successfully and on schedule, driving the advancement of renewable energy initiatives.

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
CSCS Card
First Aid
SMSTS (desired)It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Extensive history of working for in logistics and managing site deliveries and stores
Previous experience of successfully managing logistics on site
A strong background with at least 5 years of demonstrated success in a Logistics Manager position or a similarAdditional skills;

Efficient time management skills
Strong expertise in negotiating with vendors, carriers and stakeholders
Strong communication abilities, written and verbal with a keen eye for detail

Incident investigation, recording and reporting
Create and oversee budgets for logistics operations
Supervise the storage, distribution, and control of inventory
Negotiate carrier rates and ensure transportation is cost-efficient
Manage expenses and ensure the effective utilization of resources
Organizing and monitoring delivery, storage and distribution of goods
Track the flow of goods and resolve any logistical challenges that arise
Guarantee customer satisfaction by providing timely and precise deliveries
Pinpoint opportunities to improve efficiency and cut costs across operations
Create and oversee logistics strategies to guarantee the prompt delivery of goods
Ensure precise inventory levels and implement systems to monitor inventory status
Evaluate logistics performance data and make enhancements based on the analysis
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and other key stakeholders
Oversee the logistics team, including drivers, warehouse personnel, and administrative staff
Offer training and professional development opportunities for members of the logistics team
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to optimize supply chain processes
Utilize logistics software and systems to enhance efficiency (e.g., route optimization, tracking)
Identify potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., delays, damage) and develop contingency plans
Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, such as shipping records and customs forms
Handle customer questions and concerns promptly regarding the shipment and delivery of goods
Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and safety standards governing transportation and warehousing
Commercial management, ensuring budgets are managed whilst continuing to deliver a quality service / product
