The important bits:
Location: South Wales Based (2-3 days per week) / Home-Based (2-3 days per week)
Rate: £300 - £400 p/day (Umbrella)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (4 days per week will be considered)
Initial Duration: 6 months +
Start Date: Late August / Early September
What You'll Do:
Lead with Purpose: Oversee the delivery of proactive, customer-focused tenancy management service for general needs properties in South Wales.
Champion Excellence: Ensure the highest standards in tenancy management, allocations, and community safety, consistently aligning with the organisation's vision and values.
Empower Teams: Manage and support frontline neighbourhood teams to deliver exceptional service directly to customers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Interim Neighbourhood Services Manager - Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery: Lead and manage housing services, including tenancy management, empty homes, and community safety.
Customer Satisfaction: Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent housing management and effective handling of anti-social behaviour.
Performance Management: Monitor and report on service performance, developing strategies to address any areas of under performance and sharing best practices across neighbourhoods.
Tenant-Centric Approach: Deliver sustainable tenancies with a deep understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and trauma-informed care practices.
Safeguarding Lead: Take operational responsibility for safeguarding across the business, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
Collaborative Working: Build and maintain strong relationships with Customer Services, Assets teams, and a broad range of stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Innovation and Improvement: Develop innovative solutions to enhance neighbourhood services, and measure performance against key indicators to drive continuous improvement.
What you'll need:
Experienced Social Housing Leader: Proven experience in leading housing management services within the social housing sector, with a strong grasp of housing law, anti-social behaviour, and sustainable tenancy practices.
Performance Driven: A track record of effective performance management and achieving high standards and positive outcomes for customers.
Collaborative & Supportive: Committed to teamwork, with experience in managing and developing remote teams to achieve their full potential.
Problem Solver: Ability to creatively and analytically approach challenges, translating complex information into practical, effective solutions.
Interim Ready: Available to step into this role on an interim basis, bringing your expertise and energy to hit the ground running and deliver immediate impact.
