We are looking for a Parts Assistant on a full time and permanent basis. Our client is a long standing and well-established presence within the three counties area and beyond, with a first-rate reputation amongst the agricultural industry.
This role will be one of the first points of contact within the business, reacting efficiently to requests for parts provision, advice, and breakdown requirements. Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for supporting in the part advisory department and delivering outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.
What you can expect:
- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000, depending on salary
- Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with an hour for lunch
- Saturday working as required, 8am – 12pm (paid at time and a half)
- Occasional call outs to customer sites outside of working hours (paid at time and a half and as part of a rota across the wider team)
- Full time & permanent role
- Rural North Herefordshire (own transport required)

What you will be doing:
- Responding to customer parts and service workshop enquiries via phone, email and face to face in a timely manner
- Identifying customer and workshop engineer parts requirements, including completion of associated administration
- Loading and unloading the parts and equipment deliveries
- Ensuring customer collections, local deliveries and courier dispatches are dealt with quickly and efficiently
- Picking, packing, and allocating parts warehouse stock
What we are looking for:
- Prior parts advisory experience
- Agricultural knowledge essential, developed in either a professional or personal capacity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Capable of working as part of a team and independently
- Capable of working under pressure during busier periods
- IT literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office and bespoke systems preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of payments
- Availability for an on-call rota shared amongst the wider team
