Chef Manager, Residential Care Home, TW12 £36k
Catering for a 75 bed care home, the kitchen provides a breakfast, lunch and dinner service for residents and staff using fresh ingredients.
As the Chef Manager, you will be
- Responsible for the operation of the catering department and service provided
- Liaising with staff, residents and families
- Managing a variety of dietary requirements as well as some texture modified diets
- Managing the kitchen team including rotas, training and development
- Financially responsible for budget and cost control
Working hours are 5/7 days, 40 hours per week
To be considered as a candidate, you will
- be an experienced Chef Manager with a proven work history
- ideally have worked within a care home or similar environment
- be financially astute and able to work to budget
- be able to manage, train and develop a team
- have an understanding of required dietary needs and be able to adapt as necessary
- have an empathetic, friendly and positive attitude
