RMS Recruitment are actively seeking an experienced and dynamic manager to oversee our clients LGV Test Centre based in Cramlington.

Type: Permanent Position
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm
Salary: £45-48k per annum
About the Role:
Working as a LGV Test Centre you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the test centre and workshop, with focus on efficiency and productivity. Your duties would typically include:
Business development and sales.
Budget and cost control management.
Enforcing health and safety standards.
Developing customer relations ensuring effective fleet maintenance.
Planning and scheduling workloads (including ATF lane)
Collaborating effectively with the DVSA.
Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on parts.
Ensuring effective operation of invoicing systems.
About You:
Experience in commercial business development and sales experience, as well as prior managerial experience running a workshop and leading a team of technicians.
Experience with LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles is essential.
While a Category C or C&E driving license is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Strong team leadership abilities, with a focus on flexibility, adaptability, and excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in IT is essential.
