Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial success of the microbiome testing arm of the business. In the long term, this will mean building and leading a team of salespeople to help drive revenue. You will be expected to contribute to setting a commercial and sales strategy, generate leads, build client relationships, help set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and ultimately meet customer needs. We're looking for a quick learner who is confident and has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in defining and executing the company’s commercial strategy to increase market share in the UK and EU through microbiome testing product and service sales.
- Generate new business and establish and nurture client relationships.
- Analyse and feedback on sales strategy, performance data, and sales forecasts.
- Achieve and outperform the revenue targets set by the Board.
- Monitor and report relevant KPIs on a weekly basis including weekly sales reports and provide insights on what works and where improvements are necessary
- Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of the product portfolio
- In the medium/long term help hire, train, and lead a team of sales representatives.
- From time to time assist with sales of the company’s pathology services when in combination with the microbiome service or assist other members of the team if necessary
- Develop onboarding, check-in (account management), and other commercial SOPs to ensure that client management is standardised and of the highest standard. This will include terms of service and price negotiations among other responsibilities.
- This is a hybrid role, based at the Bermondsey offices with the flexibility to work from home.
Requirement:
- You should have experience working in a B2B biotech or medtech environment, though it is not an absolute necessity.
- Comfortable winning new business, and a strong ability to drive revenue out of existing clients through cross-sells and up-sells
