Health and Safety Advisor
North East Salary Dependant on experience + Car allowance and Excellent Benefits
Our client by a major, award winning, civil engineering Contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor to operate across their project sites in the North East area. This organisation is a leader within the industry looking to further grow the existing team. The successful candidate will be working across a range of projects, as such, previous multi-site experience will be beneficial Of particular interest are those candidates who have worked on water and civils schemes.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

Implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation

Visiting site and engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquiries. Ensuring site activities are compliant and safely undertaken.

Conducting safety audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in Health and Safety performance

Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

Experience in a similar role ideally within construction, Civil engineering or Utilities – Candidates with experience in the water industry are of particular interest.

Hold a NEBOSH Certificate and ideally a member of IOSH

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders

Role is offered on a mix of site visits and hybrid working
