We are currently seeking an experienced Senior VOIP Engineer on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Reading. About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Senior VOIP Engineer with a strong background in building and supporting VOIP solutions, particularly with systems like 3CX. However, we can consider experience with other well-known VOIP platforms, such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Avaya IP Office, Mitel MiVoice, or Asterisk. The role involves working on a variety of infrastructure tasks, ensuring seamless communication for clients through the installation, support, and maintenance of VOIP systems and other IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Working across the south and london regions

Design, install, and maintain on-premise, cloud, and hosted VOIP systems, including 3CX or other platforms such as Cisco CUCM, Avaya IP Office, Mitel MiVoice, or Asterisk.

Install and configure gateways, LAN switches, and voice equipment to meet client needs.

Provide technical support to resolve network and connectivity issues, ensuring continuous and efficient communication.

Perform client site visits to conduct proactive maintenance tasks and ensure optimal system performance.

Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Servers, Desktop OS, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.
Technical Experience:

Proven experience in a senior or similar field-based role within an MSP environment.

Strong expertise in VOIP solutions, with a focus on 3CX or other VOIP systems like Cisco CUCM, Avaya IP Office, Mitel MiVoice, or Asterisk.

Experience with HP/Aruba Networking and Ruckus WIFI is advantageous, though similar technologies will also be considered.

Proficiency in networking protocols, including OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and others, is essential.

Familiarity with Watchguard, Fortigate, and Meraki firewalls is beneficial.

Experience with server infrastructure, including Windows HyperV, Citrix, and VMWare.

An IT-related degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
