Our client is the leading supplier of Process Equipment & Engineering Solutions into the Hydrogen, Energy, Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Biotechnology Industries in Ireland & UK. Their wide range of products include valve & actuation, bursting discs, pumps, heat exchangers, skids, vacuum, instrumentation, tank & process equipment, insulation, tubing & fittings and filtration, and life science (non-metallic) devices.
The continued expansion of their UK Sales Operations has resulted in the requirement for a Product Specialist Valve & Actuation – Hydrogen & Energy Specialist. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated sales orientated person to join our client with a focus on supporting their UK business & being part of a growing team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will maintain responsibility for both managing existing relationships and developing new business, with particular focus on developing the Valve & Actuation Hydrogen range of products from our Client’s portfolio, to deliver customer requirements around supply, quality and new product introductions and collaborating with colleagues across the team.
Duties of the role include:
Customer facing Field Based Technical Sales role with emphasis on customer and project identification and the ability to drive specifications to win the business identified.
Grow Sales across in the UK market based on products assigned.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers at all levels to ensure optimum customer satisfaction & problem solving.
Scheduling & implementing of calls based on Quote Follow up, Key Accounts list & Strategic planning tools.
Achievement of product sales and profitability targets.
Collaborate with both other product specialists in the field & with supporting internal team.
Manage and maintain supplier relationships.
Develop and maintain technical proficiency with ESI Products, through Internal training programs & Factory visits as necessary.
Work to win new business by successful specification of the ESI range of products and services. so as to provide technical support to customers.
Contribute towards development of the company’s product range based on analysis of the market, the environment and consumer / competitor trends.
Identify emerging trends and develop new product opportunities to increase company market share.
Collaborate with ‘Digitalisation’ team on sales and marketing strategy development, with customer satisfaction and ecommerce as a primary focus.
Deliver customer trade shows and product events.
Identify projects and collate information for tracking and sharing with sales team.
Ideally the candidate would possess the following Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Proven track record in Business Development / Technical Sales role selling to related industries.
- Qualification in Technical discipline or Industry Experience in – Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation would be an advantage.
- Established in a Technical sales role, particularly Process, Mechanical or Instrumentation related.
- Relevant Industry experience with process equipment, i.e. Valve & Actuation within the Hydrogen and Energy sectors
- The successful candidate needs to have focus on the commercials, i.e. revenue and profits levels.
- Experience in developing specifications to drive business growth with National and Multi- National OEM’s, Contractors and End Users.
- References of identifying and winning projects in the Hydrogen and Energy sectors.
- Full clean driving license.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to close the full sales cycle from lead identification / generation to winning the business.
