One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer. This is a 2 month temporary contract with possible further extension based on budget and performance.
Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary
To provide an effective and efficient high standard of business support, both practical and financial to Merton Integrated Learning Disability Team, a multidisciplinary health and social care team, the Team Manager; Service manager and Head of Service as required. To support the Transition Team , within the Learning Disability Service, Adult Social Care as required.
Duties and Responsibilities

To undertake administration work to facilitate and support the Learning Disability and Transition Team.

To be responsible for support to the team referrals system , accepting referral; administration of referral processes and support to the weekly multidisciplinary referrals meeting .

To keep accurate records and process all documentation in relation team systems for example Continuing Health Care cases, recording outcomes; scheduled reviews and changes in financial commitments.

To regularly maintain and update service databases e. g. Mosaic for the Transition Team, on behalf of Community & Housing and Children, Schools and Families Departments.

To provide detailed minutes and action plans for the fortnightly Learning Disability Team Meeting ; monthly Seniors and Lead Professionals Meeting ; Team Managers meeting and when delegated the Transition Outcomes Forum.

To provide accurate and detailed minutes for professional’s meetings with external partners and across services in the council.

To organise meetings on behalf of the Team Manager/ Service Manager and Head of Service for work relating to the Transition Service.

To assist the Team Manager with the monthly budget monitoring process and to manage and support the team financial system.

Oversee the ordering of team supplies, equipment, and stationery .

Support the team manager with the induction schedule for new team members, ordering IT and team equipment for new staff .

Supervise administration staff and support with carrying out their roles by providing supervision. Also agreeing leave arrangement, ensuring training and development and providing induction.

To provide efficient and effective assistance with projects, complying with all corporate policies and procedures.
