We are delighted to be working on behalf of a locally based Solicitors, who are one of the longest-established law firms in East Anglia. They are looking to onboard a Legal Secretary within the Ipswich branch, to join their friendly team in providing an excellent service to all clients.
Key Duties:

Keeping records up to date and general filing (both paper & electronic documents).

Archiving files.

Typing up legal documents, including transcribing audio dictation, correspondence, emails, and all other like documents.

Answering the phone and making a documented record.

Organising diaries and making appointments for fee earner(s).

Acting as secretary to assigned fee earners and carry out the task a role normally entails.

Receiving “On Account” payments from Clients and referring these to accounts department.

Informing accounts department of any Client changes.

Generally finalising matters and obtain edger printouts before closing file.

Covering reception as and when required.

Attending training courses as required by Partners.

Preparing court forms, including court bundles for hearings.
The ideal candidate will be organised with a flexible approach to work. You will have excellent time keeping and be a positive team player. You will also have previous legal secretarial experience, within any department
