Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs. This role requires someone who is empathetic, patient, and capable of delivering personal care with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to clients, including personal care, assistance with daily activities, and companionship.
- Safely operate and use a hoist for transferring and positioning clients as required.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional conditions.
- Assist with medication administration, following care plans and protocols.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and promoting their well-being.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a consistent and high standard of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any incidents or concerns.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a care role within the UK.
- Completed mandatory training within the last 12 months, including but not limited to Moving and Handling, Safeguarding, and First Aid.
- Proficiency in using a hoist for safe client transfers.
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding nature.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including availability for weekends and shifts.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or dementia.
