Direct Response Employment Services are working with our long established client based in Warminster, who are seeking a Technical Manager to join the team on a permanent basis .
As Technical Manager you will be managing the full aspect of food safety & quality management and ensuring our client remains fully compliant in accordance with legislative standards.
Key Duties:

Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and site policies.

Overall responsibility for the quality management system.

HACCP team leader, creating, monitoring and reviewing HACCP, TACCP plans including improvements.

Completing site audits and ensuring robust auditing programme is embedded to ensure products are manufactured to a high standard to meet company, customers and legislative standards.

Manage supplier and raw material approval.

Support the NPD process for the new products and ensure product labelling is accurate and legal.

Create new product labels, recipe sheets and other production paperwork as required.

Approving art work, printed packaging, BOMs and production books.

Manage and investigate customer complaints along with completing customer questionnaires and forms.

Maintain the Food Safety training matrix.

Keep up to date with legislation and ensure site maps, procedures and risk assessment's are kept up to date.

Product shelf-life determination and testing and manage the testing's of finished products and water.
As a technical manager you will have previous experience within health and safety / technical and will have relevant food manufacturing experience. You will have a solid working knowledge of GMP and HACCP, TACCP/VACCP principles and practice. You will have internal audit experience, good knowledge of IT and knowledge of technical KPI's.
This is a permanent role working at our clients site in Warminster, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm however some flexibility with the hours would be needed. Salary up to £45,000 per annum plus additional company benefits
