My client is a privately owned provider of commercial cleaning and other soft FM services for twenty plus years, carrying out their work on a wide variety of commercial sites. I am currently working with them to recruit a full time (40 hours - flexible times based on site requirements) Area Manager to assist in the smooth running and high cleaning standard of client sites in the East Midlands/East of England area. Candidates for the Mobile Operations Manager role should reside in areas such as Coventry, Peterborough, Leicester etc., but there can be some flexibility on this. The Area Manager’s duties will include:

Provide Operational Management support across client sites working with Operations manager to ensure client KPI’s are met

Completion of Site Audits and carrying out regular out of hours site spot-checks

Manage timesheets
-
Manage the mobilisation of new sites including staff recruitment

Manage site stocks of cleaning materials and equipment
-
Respond to Client complaints in a timely manner and take the appropriate action to resolve issues raised.

Recruit new cleaning staff and provide training and support to your team of cleaning operatives

Delegate tasks to mobile supervisor, support staff and site-based cleaning operatives

Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and promote on-site safe working practices

When required undertake disciplinary procedures
To succeed in this Area Manager role, you will need to

Have three years relevant cleaning industry management experience

Be a competent Microsoft 365 user

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Possess a positive attitude

Enjoy leading a team training

Knowledgeable in the practical elements of cleaning

Be able to work independently and use your own initiative

Possess strong time-management and organisational skills, with a flexible approach to work

Possess an excellent attention to detail

Be a team player who thrives from working under pressure

Be in possession of a UK driving license
A company van, laptop, mobile phone and iPad is provided
Salary £32,500, bonus, 20 days plus bank holidays Nest pension.
