Childrens Residential Support Worker.
Barker Ross Staffing Solutions are looking for an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker in High Wycombe, HP12. The home has 3 bedrooms with 1 child in residence currently.
Our client works with children and young people aged 8 - 17 years who have emotional behaviour difficulties (EBD)
Hours: 40 hours per week, working on a 2 on 4 off shift pattern.
Shift times are 09:00am - 23:00pm followed by a sleep, then 07:00am - 10:00am.
Role: As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will
To provide direct care and supervision, as required to the young people in the home.
Help with the day-to-day care of the children residing at the home.
Plan the young people's activities.
Be a key worker.
Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Be passionate about providing the best quality of care for the children and young people.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children and young people.
Be a good role model and lead by example.
To be considered for this role:
You must -
Have previous experience of working in a Children's Residential Home.
Have experience of working with children with challenging behaviours and EBD.
Understand EBD and how to support children and young people who experience it.
Good knowledge and understand the importance of safeguarding vulnerable young people.
Be an effective communicator.
Be passionate and dedicated to improving the lives of young people.
Driver preferred but not essential.
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce
