The Counter Terrorism, Intelligence & Investigation Officer position is an operational role that is at the forefront of the Clients' risk and loss reduction strategy. Incumbents of this position are required to have prior & demonstrable subject matter experience.
The role is predominately based in the Clients UK Basildon Headquarters, although UK & International travel will be required as necessary. The CTII Officer will be required to hold valid & non-endorsed UK driving license & Passport.
Working Hours Variable start times, working between 0600 & 2200 hours
Working Days Monday to Friday (out of working hours working will be required ad hoc)
Salaried position - £33,000 p.a. based on a 40-hour working week
Your Time at Work
For the roles and responsibilities are below:
1 Investigate breaches of security, report all losses or suspected losses, and other unusual events
2 Create and maintain Crime/Theft/Incident/General Reports.
3 Crime Detection Observations (overt/covert).
4 Escalate issues as appropriate to Client Regional Security Manager.
5 Produce "read and action" e-mails to appropriate Client personnel to assist in operations / reduce potential for losses through observations / lessons learned.
6 Provide specialist expert knowledge, evaluate, and interpret intelligence from various covert / overt sources
7 Give unbiased professional advice on investigations, working on established principals
8 Evaluate information, take appropriate actions, identify trends and patterns, using information to achieve desired outcome
9 Provide advice and operational support to new product development projects
10 Carry out operations ensuing ethical, complying with legislation, policy, and best practice
11 Work with police and other agencies as single point of contact and active/reactive participation in planned operations
12 Attend Courts if required to do so, giving expert evidence of loss, damage.
13 Manage, plan and communicate changes relevant to Client, ensuring implementation of new policies / procedures.
14 Ensure Client Senior Management Team are briefed/consulted on current investigations/operations.
15 Oversee Operational services overt/covert, technical matters, tracking, CCTV, and other conventional surveillance aids that are compliant to legislation. Dynamically Risk Assess events, escalate and/or make decisions based on such assessment.
16 Ensure sensitive investigations meet standards and organisational policies in line with current legislation.
17 Quality/storage/confidentiality/dissemination of intelligence is managed/ maintained effectively/correctly.
18 Provide accurate and detailed reports i.e., statements / evidential files.
19 Creates and implements effective team plans in line with strategic policy objectives.
20 Record retention in accordance with the Annual File Retention (AFRP) Periods
21 CTII officer forms part of the European Protective Intelligence Team and will have liaison and reporting responsibilities in this regard.
22 CTII officer will have liaison and reporting responsibilities to the clients United States Headquarters
23 Intelligence gathering from open sources and client's internal systems
24 Assist, as required, with Port facility security and planning (annual exercise and quarterly drills)
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge is also key.
It would be a benefit to have the below
- Experience in Criminal Investigations arena and Management thereof, with a working knowledge of P.A.C.E.
- Executive protection awareness
- Awareness of covert sensitive operations and current legislation
- Competent in the use Information Technology (Microsoft office suite, intermediate excel functions, google dorking commands, and previous experience of using mass communications tools e.g., mailchimp, mailbulk etc.)
- Ability to work, with minimal supervision, on own initiative and as part of wider team
- Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation
