Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Support Worker.
Barker Ross Staffing Solutions are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager for a Children's Residential Support Worker in High Wycombe, HP12. The home has 3 bedrooms with 1 child in residence currently.
Our client works with children and young people aged 8 - 17 years who have emotional behaviour difficulties (EBD)
Hours: 40 hours per week, you will be required to cover annual leave, sickness, and holiday cover.
Role: As a Deputy Manager you will
To provide leaderships and support to staff and ensure high standards are delivered to the young people.
To meet the requirements of the registered and placing authority.
Ensure effective and timely contact and communication with appropriate external agencies and young people's relatives, advocates, and others.
Support managers to identify with a staff member with key worker responsibilities for the young people.
Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Support the manager to ensure that all staff are trained and receive supervisions.
Delegate responsibilities based on competence of staff and needs of the company and review to promote.
Participate in team meetings, supervisions, and annual reviews in accordance with policy and the standards set by the regulatory body.
To ensure that appropriate standards are maintained, especially in relation to care, educational and clinical programmes (service dependent) for the Young People in their care, in accordance with company policies.
Ensure awareness that the service operates to agreed budgets and contribute to keeping within these budgets as instructed.
To work to and exhibit the values of the Company and maintain standards of behaviour in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and practices.
To carry out any other reasonable and relevant duties as required
To be considered for this role:
You must -
Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to
the residential care of
Experience at management level in a residential
Have appropriate experience, qualification and skills to manage the home effectively and lead the care of children; and (ii) be physically and mentally fit to manage the home;
and (c) full and satisfactory information is available in relation to each of the matters in Schedule 2.
Good knowledge of the relevant Regulatory Body regulations
Good knowledge of Safeguarding procedures
Good knowledge of Safeguarding procedures
Driving licence
