Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Workshop Engineer for our client based in Hemel Hempstead on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide support to a range of machinery with a primary focus on keeping machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment

General Engineering duties which include working at height, beneath and within all machines.

Repairing and maintaining machines using lifting equipment supplied.

Driving and moving of machines inside and outside of the workshop.

Servicing of a wide variety of machines within the workshop.

Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner.

Request parts efficiently and effectively.

Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.

Supervise other workshop engineers, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained.

Assist in booking machines in and out

Ensure the machines are ready for transport collections

Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment.

Maintain control of warranty parts returns to the parts department.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:

Solid mechanical aptitude
-
Minimum 5 years machine repair experience

Knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and wiring diagrams

Diagnostic and leadership skills able to work in a team or alone

Driving License

Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills
-
Proficiency with MS Office
Working hours are Monday – Friday 40 hours weekly with overtime available.
In return our client offers a salary between £15.00 - £18.00 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half.
