We are now looking for a Commercial Administrator to join the team on a Temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The role will be based in our Tipton with working hours of 9am to 5pm.
As Commercial Administrator, provide administrative support to Contract Managers and Senior Management Team to operate, co-ordinate, maintain and report on financial performance of contracts

You will be required to carry out duties across a number of Contracts which include; South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, National Grid.
Specific responsibilities / tasks
Detail the specific responsibilities of the role.
• Reporting to the Commercial Support Manager, to promote a culture of consistent best practice, collaboration, and drive to succeed.
• Work closely with other departments to effectively manage workload aligned to
strategic targets.
• Produce commercial data which feeds the Company Commercial activity
• Assist with the production of all reports and applications for payment and
provide general administrative support to the Commercial Team
• Assist Contract Managers, Senior Management and Surveyors to operate, co-
ordinate, maintain and report on financial matters relative to specific contracts
• Assist in production of subcontractor payments and approvals, reporting and
maintaining accurate records
• Produce weekly/monthly financial costing reports
• Resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding balances, review Statement of
Accounts on a weekly basis
• Attend weekly/monthly meetings with blue chip clients to reduce outstanding balances and improve Company cash flow position
• Issue early warnings / claims to clients on a weekly basis
• Provide administrative support to the Commercial Team

What knowledge, skills and experience does the employee require in order to be successful in the role?
• Ideally a minimum 4 years relevant experience in the Construction sector.
• Attention to detail problem solving, reading reports, and accurately compiling relevant data from them.
• Good working knowledge of excel spread sheet systems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills especially when dealing with Clients & Directors
• Strong numerical and financial management skills
• Articulate and client facing
• UK Driving License Holder
