Domestic Services Team Leader
Location: Carlisle - Fusehill Street
Salary: £15,867 per annum
Hours: 24 hours per week,Monday-Friday 6:00am – 11:00am

The Role
Are you a suitably qualified, proactive and flexible individual who would like to join theirr Domestic Services Team? As their Domestic Services Team Leader you will support the Working Supervisor on the day-to-day operations through support and excellent customer service.
The Domestic Services Team provide a professional cleaning service to staff and students, either working alone or as part of a team, working on similar tasks usually with short, defined timescales.
As the Domestic Team Leader you will assist the Working Supervisor to ensure the Domestic Services on campus are delivered in a professional manner, whilst ensuring the Domestic Assistants provide an excellent customer service and operate within agreed financial parameters at all times.
You will carry out a range of cleaning activities mainly using routine procedures and working to agreed timescales. You will be required to liaise with customers, handle their queries and more. You will also be required to have a basic knowledge of IT and be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word as well as other software packages.
On occasion, you will be involved in supervising work, assigning duties to domestic assistants and supporting senior domestic services staff. Some of these tasks may require formal training and/or qualifications.
There may be occasions where you will be required to work weekends/at another campus.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education to RQF Level 2 (GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent) standard in English and Mathematics.
- Previous experience of delivering excellent service in a customer facing role.
- Skills are previous experience that are relevant to this tole.
- Understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH and security requirements relevant to the role.
- Able to prioritise and carry out a range of activities, including resolving standard and routine work issues based on understanding procedure and practice and quality standards.
- Awareness of how to handle confidential information appropriately.
- IT literacy and/or ability to use package(s) relevant to the area of work (e.g. creating straightforward reports or collating data).
