About Our Client:
Our client, a leading company in their industry, is seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Control Team Leader to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in driving the efficiency of the collections process and ensuring high standards are maintained across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Coordination & Leadership: Lead and coordinate the collections team to ensure effective debt collection, providing guidance, training, and daily support. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to track progress and provide feedback.
Performance Management: Oversee team KPIs and report weekly to the Head of Credit. Effectively manage and address any underperformance within the team.
Legal Case Management: Manage relationships with Solicitors and oversee all legal cases related to collections, ensuring a smooth process and successful outcomes.
Direct Debit Process Management: Handle the end-to-end Direct Debit process, including coding, inputting, customer communications, and required reporting.
Induction & Development: Develop and manage induction programs for new starters, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and ongoing professional development.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with branch operations on client requirements and discussions around debt-related issues, providing expert advice and solutions.
Credit Control Meetings: Hold regular credit control meetings with regional heads, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated and actioned.
Aged Debt Resolution: Address escalated aged debt issues with client funders, seeking resolutions that meet both client and company needs.
Customer Query Management: Coordinate the resolution of customer queries and complaints, ensuring they are processed according to company procedures and resolved efficiently.
Bad Debt Management: Manage Bad Debt Provisions in line with company guidelines, minimizing financial risk.
Payment Processing Accuracy: Review team postings to ensure the accurate processing and allocation of received payments.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts as required, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Audit Assistance: Assist in audit requirements as necessary, providing accurate information and support.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience in a similar role within collections or credit control.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage relationships with external partners, including Solicitors and client funders.
Proficiency in handling financial processes, including Direct Debits and account reconciliations.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and performance management.Benefits:
