National Compliance Manager (Transport)
Location: Will need to spend time at Swindon, with travel to other UK sites as required

Reporting to the National Fleet & Compliance Manager, you’ll ensure compliance across all transport operations for this dynamic business. You’ll ensure the fleet is maintained and adheres to all legal and safety standards, working closely with the National Fleet & Compliance Manager to deliver excellence across transport compliance.
This role will suit you if you’re an experienced Transport / Fleet Compliance Manager looking for an opportunity to bring your knowledge and passion for compliance to a progressive business in a critical role that will drive excellence across the company’s transport and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Management: implement and manage Fleet & Compliance management software across the group. Support the National Fleet & Compliance Manager with fleet management tasks as required.

Compliance: Ensure all fleet operations comply with all regulations. Conduct regular audits, develop and deliver training programmes for drivers, and address non-compliance issues.

People: Supervise and support the fleet and admin team. Mentor, coach and develop your direct report to improve performance and create succession plans.

Operational Performance: Manage the fleet budget, monitoring expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Analyse and report on compliance performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
About You:

Experience and knowledge of transport operations
-
Previous experience in a transport / fleet compliance management role

Strong knowledge of transport compliance requirements

Experience of managing budgets and driving financial performance and accountability through teams
-
National CPC holder (essential).

A passion for safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Ideally – experience gained in central transport functions

Technically proficient, with good knowledge and experience of transport management systems

Focused on driving continuous improvement through development of process and procedures
