Role Profile
Our client is one of the major FMCG Suppliers in the Leeds area looking to appoint a Senior Buyer to join their team.
They are looking for someone who has passion and enthusiasm who will want to be hands on with the business and can exhibit a trader mentality.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and hardworking individual with experience in a similar role, to join the trading team, and be part of a fast-growing business.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, based on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Aims to build strong relationships across all departments of the business
Conducting research into new and existing suppliers
Collaborating with the supply chain team to strategically plan and sustain optimal stock levels by accurately forecasting demand
Suggesting annual budgets for sales, margins, and margin percentages for assigned categories, integrating these into the broader business budget
Observe and maintain progress toward the budget by utilising provided sales data and generating custom reportsSkills, Experience & Personal Attributes
Retail, FMCG or wholesale buying experience / ambient category experience
Confident with the ability to make decisions under pressure
Analytical and numerical with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with others
Strong commercial awareness
