Our client is a hugely successful membership-based organisation who are seeking to appoint an Events Lead for their highly respected, successful business.
We are looking for an events expert with experience in managing in-person and virtual events from conception to completion. The Events Lead will be responsible for delivering an events strategy including developing relevant content to provide a wide range of events throughout the year. The Events strategy focusses on providing members with ongoing learning, engaging with new audiences, and raising awareness.
The Events Lead will be responsible for ensuring the organisation deliver high-quality, engaging experiences that meet the organisation’s strategic needs. The Events Lead will take the lead on events ranging from regular virtual meetings for 30 to 50 people, to a high-profile event such as the Summer Dinner in London, and the delivery of an in-person Annual Conference of up to 750 people with the support of an events partner.
Responsibilities of the Events Lead

Project managing a programme of in-person and virtual events in the UK

Accountable for the development and delivery of the existing events programme to meet the needs of different target groups

Curating, developing, and delivering event content

Managing the inputs of external agencies

Managing budgets

Collaborating with marketing and communications colleagues on event brand, promotion, and invitations to ensure a consistent and high-quality event experience

Collaborating with marketing and communications colleagues to ensure event content and resources are developed to maximise their value across multiple platforms (e.g., social media, member community hub) and achieve associated targets

Supporting colleagues, including at senior level, with ideas and insights in the development and delivery of the emerging programme of new virtual learning courses

Ensuring speaker and required technology is in place for virtual and live events and adopting a proactive approach to risk management, troubleshooting and adaptation

Collecting, analysing, and reporting attendees' feedback and recommending changes to ensure continual improvement for future events

Experience of event production (leading on curation of event content) is essential

Experience of working with freelancers or agencies is desirable

Understanding of an events strategy and evidence of being able to deliver against this

Proven ability of running events through the entire event life cycle

Ability to plan and execute events from the ground-up, using a hands-on approach

Must be able to build rapport and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders

Evidence of ability to work in a process-driven fashion; building new events processes from scratch or adapting and incorporating existing processes where needed
