Head of FMCG / Senior National Account Manager - FMCG (non food)
About our Client
Our client are a well known distributor & manufacturer of a range of third party & their own range of Vape devices & Eliquids. One of the leading brands within the industry who currently have fantastic relationships with a large number of Vape Retailers in the UK, Convenience stores, National Supermarkets & also listed in a wide range of international countries.
A newly created role for an individual to join our clients growing business, working closely with Senior Stakeholders, to develop, lead and support all bid & tender processes to identify and develop sales opportunities across the group, and achieve maximum profitability for every opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold full ownership of the tender process, including exploring tender opportunities, preparing, completing and submitting all documentation ahead of deadlines.
- Follow up on all tender and bid processes with a view to monitoring feedback, making recommendations for change to ensure they win and grow business from successful bids.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify areas for growth and product improvement, making recommendations for change.
- Analyse sales data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular product evaluations and make recommendations for improvements or new product introductions.
- Collaborate with NPD and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient product development and production.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending actions.
- Promote and ensure the good reputation of our clients and its individual divisions.
The ideal candidate:
- Degree educated or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in Vape/Tobacco sales and marketing.
- Strong knowledge of the FMCG industry, market trends, and consumer behaviour.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market research.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
- Proven track record in successful bid/tender processes.
- Results focused with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
