Operation Director - Role & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for all site operations of a modern manufacturer including production, quality, maintenance and site services
- Contribute to the strategic vision of the company as part of the senior leadership team. Ensure operational capability can meet growth from sales department
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to a largely unskilled workforce
- Lead a large team of managers and supervisors through a period of cultural change to greater operational efficiency
Operations Director - Skills & Abilities
- Of obvious graduate calibre in an engineering/manufacturing discipline
- Experience of a high precision volume production environment
- Minimum 5 years' in a senior manufacturing position with responsibility for large (100+) teams
- Previous experience of "from scratch" implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and production KPIs
- Strong interpersonal skills, a vision for success, and the ability to take responsibility, coach, develop and mentor
