We are now looking for a full time, fully experienced H&S Manager to manage the SHEQ requirements and complement the existing Management Team.
About the SHEQ Manager role
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Manager to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is pivotal in ensuring that our operations not only meet but exceed industry standards in health, safety, environmental, and quality. You will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement comprehensive health and safety programmes for both the company and our clients, fostering a proactive safety culture.
Collaborate with Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Site Operatives, and other key personnel to achieve SHEQ objectives and resolve challenges.
Provide expert advice on SHEQ legal compliance, ensuring the company adheres to all relevant regulations.
Conduct internal site inspections and audits, facilitate external audits, and manage accreditations to ensure compliance with legislation.
Champion the design and implementation of a strong SHEQ culture throughout the company.
Develop and manage project-specific construction and environmental management plans.
Identify and address the training needs of staff, ensuring continuous professional development.
Implement and audit quality management systems (ISO), driving improvements in the organisation’s safety culture.
Maintain ISO 9001 certification and work towards achieving ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 accreditations.
Prepare and submit entries for external health and safety awards, showcasing the company’s commitment to excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
Full UK Driving Licence.
NVQ Level 6 or higher (preferred).
IOSH and NEBOSH Certification.
Strong IT skills, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting systems efficiently.
