Principal People has partnered with a leading energy and infrastructure business to recruit an HSE Business Partner to join their renewables Division.
You will be managing the health and safety of the operational activities contributing to the renewables Division strategy of the organisation.
With a strong health and safety support function at your back, you will have all the tools and information you may need to effectively lead and manage health and safety across the division's operations, driving forward a positive health and safety culture.
This role is home-based with occasional site visits nationwide and additional travel as and when needed.
With no need to go to a site or the office every week, this role offers you fantastic flexibility to allow for work to work around your life.
HSE Business Partner - £50,000-£60,000 + Car Allowance/Company Car + Bonus + 25 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays + 5% Matched Pension + Contribution to your Household Bills + More – Homebased – Nationwide Travel– Energy & Infrastructure
The Successful HSE Business Partner will be responsible for:
Perform regular site inspections nationwide to assess HSE performance and suggest areas for improvement across the business unit.
Identify and manage health, safety and environmental risks by assisting with on-site duties and mitigating actions.
Promptly resolve daily HSE issues in the field, offering suggestions for updating risk assessments and safe work procedures to address ongoing concerns and issues.
Provide specialised Health and Safety expertise to all members of the business unit, ranging from front-line engineers to senior operational leadership.
Monitor the incident database to ensure timely and effective follow-ups on events, investigations, and actions.
Assist managers in conducting incident investigations, ensuring accurate identification of root causes and effectively sharing the lessons learned to minimise those incidents occurring again.
Lead coaching sessions, training, and workshops to promote buy-in to the health and safety function whilst raising awareness of health and safety across the business.
Contribute to developing a consistent approach to HSE management that aligns with the organisation’s needs, legal requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
Support, motivate, and guide the organisation’s stakeholders at all levels building strong, long-lasting relationships.
Execute a comprehensive assurance plan, in line with the organisation’s overarching health and safety strategy to boost health and safety performance within the Net Zero division. The Successful HSE Business Partner will have:
NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
Aspirations of working towards Chartered Member of IOSH. (CMIOSH already attained is desirable)
Experience in the construction, building services, hard FM, refurb & fit-out, utilities, renewables, power, housebuilding industries or similar.
The ability to effectively communicate and build relationships across all levels within an organisation as well as external stakeholders. In return, the Successful HSE Business Partner will receive:
Up to a salary of £60,000 depending on the level of experience. (Potentially £65,000)
Up to a 10% annual performance bonus.
Car Allowance or Company Car.
25 days of annual leave with an option of purchasing an additional 5 a year plus the bank holidays.

5% matched pension scheme, with the company’s contribution increasing to 10% after 2 years
