We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor for a permeant position with our client in Doncaster.
Immediate start (subject to the interview process)
Salary is £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Role & Responsibilities:
Policy Development: Create, implement, update and maintain health, safety, and compliance policies and procedures in line with Health & Safety regulations.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Problem Solving: Finding practical solutions to issues that may arise on site.
Maintain Standards: To drive the continuous improvement of Health and Safety on site.
Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify and address potential safety issues.
Emergency Response: Develop and oversee emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness for various emergency situations.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities.
Collaboration: Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to promote a culture of safety and ensure continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
Adhere to all health & safety or other internal policies and processes at all times.
Support the Line Manager and the business with any other reasonable projects and tasks as and when required.Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
NEBOSH General certificate.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Strong IT skills.
