Home Manager - £39k - Cumbria

Salary: £35,000-£39,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential care home in Cumbria. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents, many of whom are living with dementia. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents, with a strong focus on person-centered care.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality dementia care, utilizing best practices and current research in the field.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
• Conduct regular staff training and development to maintain high standards of care and staff competency.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary.
• Handle any complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Previous experience in the healthcare sector, ideally as a Registered Manager with a Level 5 qualification (or RMA), or as a motivated Deputy Manager ready to take the next step
• Extensive experience in elderly and dementia care, with a deep understanding of the challenges and best practices associated with it.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• A compassionate and caring attitude, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
