Marland is a successful all age (KS1-4) special school for students with Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It is located across four sites; Peters Marland, Barnstaple, Central Bideford and East of the Water, Bideford. This post will be based at Marland Secondary School, Barnstaple.
The overall Marland group of schools are currently graded as 'Good' by Ofsted Education, with the residential care provision separately judged to be 'Outstanding' by Ofsted Social Care inspectorate. Our overarching ethos is based around personalisation and meeting the needs of each individual child. We utilise 'THRIVE' based social and emotional development at the core of everything we do.
We seek an enthusiastic, friendly, committed, hard working and self-motivated person to join our team. To work across our three Day School sites, Marland Secondary Bideford, Marland Secondary Barnstaple and Marland Primary Bideford, taking responsibility for ensuring that all buildings are maintained, decorated, repaired and cleaned to sustain a high quality, hygienic and safe environment at all times. These duties will include coordinating external contractors, in addition to providing general maintenance yourself. The post holder is expected to work alongside the whole staff team in supporting the ethos of the school, being sympathetic and understanding of the special educational needs of the students and carrying out their duties accordingly. You need to be flexible and able to work in a team, as well as under your own initiative.
