Our client is a leading Financial Services Business based near to Uttoxeter who provide their service all over the world. They have a vacancy for a full-time Collections Co-ordinator who is self-motivated, results-orientated, and has relevant experience of working in asset finance collections or the credit management sector. Knowledge of Consumer Credit Act lending is beneficial. The role holder will provide customer service and support to their clients as well as being responsible for generating accurate MI, to support management of default, forbearance, termination of agreements, recovery of assets, and bad debt. The successful applicant will report to the Collections Manager.
Duties:

Assisting the Collections Manager, providing support for the company’s default and recoveries admin processes.

Carry out all default and recoveries administration ensuring everything is up to date.

Typical daily responsibilities include dealing with the LPI ledger, matured agreements, creating invoices, processing card payments, HPI registration, producing MI for various processes.

Compliant working within company policy, procedure, legislation, and regulation, to mitigate bad debt.

Utilise opportunities to improve industry knowledge through company approved third party connections, professional industry bodies and other trade bodies including online webinars, as well as seeking out relevant training opportunities.

Perform end to end customer journey reviews to ensure customers receive good outcomes.

Ensure the customer is put at the heart of the way that they conduct their day-to-day business.
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Education: Min GCSE English, Maths C/equivalent. Degree level or professional qualification in asset finance or credit management sectors, ideal.

Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Financial and commercial awareness.

Numerate, literate, with good analytical skills.

Good Microsoft suite knowledge and experience including Excel. Power BI experience is beneficial (training provided).

Good admin and organisational skills.

Knowledge of the construction, agriculture and/or industrial sectors (advantageous).

Ability to work independently as well as being a supportive team worker.
