JOB TITLE: Human Resources Officer (Band 4)
LOCATION: Armagh
HOURLY RATE: £12.86
HOURS: Full-time & Part-time available
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Band 4 Human Resources Officer to support the Senior HR Advisor and HR Manager with the co-ordination of work within the Pay & Conditions Team, to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
Main Responsibilities/Duties:

Assist the Senior HR Advisor with ensuring that HR Assistants have completed all HRPTS related work accurately and timely for payroll deadlines, ensuring that all necessary background documentation has been sourced and accurately reflects information provided by managers.

Provide advice and guidance to managers in relation to processing of employee personal and contractual information via HRPTS Manager Self Service and relevant offline manual forms.

Participate in system audits in relation to the monitoring and quality assurance of HRPTS data.

Support the Senior HR Advisor with HRPTS data cleansing activities, engaging with key stakeholders as required.

Ensure that all payroll processing deadlines are adhered to and provide guidance for Trust staff and managers in achieving these deadlines.

Maintain an appropriate knowledge of the HRPTS system and maintain a sound knowledge of the structures and functions of the Trust

Assist with the resolution of any HRPTS issues in relation to both processing and system errors.

Assist with maintaining, updating and filing electronic departmental records, as required.

Ensure the security of all personal data, other documents and the HRPTS system is maintained to the highest standard.

Support the HR Manager in ensuring the effective implementation of all Trust Information management policies and procedures.

Support the HR Manager in ensuring systems and procedures are in place for the management and storage of information in order to meet internal and external reporting requirements.

Deal with telephone and face to face enquiries from managers, staff and the public regarding Pay & Conditions issues in accordance with departmental procedures. Examples might include, enquiries regarding terms and conditions of employment, maternity leave, special leave provisions etc.

Provide efficient administrative support to the Pay & Conditions Team including word processing and issuing of documentation via external/ internal mail as required.

Essential Criteria:
Applicants must, by the closing date for applications, have:
Experience/Qualifications
1a.) Hold a HNC/ HND or equivalent/ higher qualification in a Human Resources OR Business related subject AND 1 years’ experience in a HR role at Band 3 or equivalent level.
OR
b.) 4 GCSE’s at Grade A-C to include English Language or equivalent/ higher level qualification AND 2 years’ experience in a HR role, 1 of which must be at Band 3 or equivalent level.
OR
c.) 3 years’ experience in a HR role, 1 of which must be at Band 3 or equivalent level.
2.) Experience of providing advice on HR Policies and Procedures and Terms and Conditions of Service.
3.) Experience of processing personal and contractual information on a HR/ Payroll computerised information systems.
4.) Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products including Work and Excel.
5.) Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
