Location: Must be commutable to both Farnborough and Horsham
Salary/Rate: Up to £500 per day INSIDE IR35 - Perm rate won't be as low

Coltech is partnered with a leading software consultancy specialising in delivering mission-critical solutions to the defence sector. We are looking for an experienced SC Cleared Incident Manager with strong ITIL knowledge to join the team for a 6 month contract which is then to go perm.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that incidents are handled efficiently, minimising the impact on our clients' operations. Your expertise in ITIL processes will be crucial in maintaining a structured and effective approach to incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end incident management process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents.
- Act as the central point of contact for all major incidents, coordinating efforts between technical teams, support staff, and stakeholders.
- Quickly assess the impact of incidents on services and operations, and prioritize responses based on business impact.
- Lead post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Implement and maintain ITIL best practices within the incident management process, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident records, including timelines, actions taken, and lessons learned.
- Identify opportunities to improve the incident management process and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with problem management, change management, and other IT teams to ensure seamless operations and swift issue resolution.
Required Skills and Experience:
- ITIL Certification: Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, with a certification in ITIL Foundation or higher.
- Proven experience as an Incident Manager in a high-pressure environment, preferably within the defence or government sector.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and software systems, with the ability to quickly grasp technical issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause identification and resolution.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams during incidents, ensuring a collaborative and effective response.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in a defence-focused environment or with government clients (public sector).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and how they integrate with ITIL practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is a plus.
- Proficiency in using incident management and IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).
