We are proud to be supporting Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) on a retained basis with their search for their new Head of Health and Safety.
This role will provide expert specialist advice and leadership to enable Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) to comply with the requirements of all statutory health and safety legislation. They will be responsible for the development and delivery of RBH’s Health and Safety (H&S) Strategy, taking accountability for the development and delivery of policies and procedures, management systems, risk profiles and gap analysis.
They will be accountable for monitoring and reporting on health and safety performance to the Executive Leadership Team and Board and maintain, through effective leadership, a highly competent, professional, and engaged team, committed to the highest standards of health and safety advice and support.
Key areas of work:

Lead and maintain, through effective management, a highly competent and engaged team responsible for the delivery of RBH statutory and regulatory obligations in relation to colleague H&S.

Develop and implement the RBH H&S Strategy, ensuring positive outcomes for customers, colleagues and the business

Lead on the development, review, and updating of RBH safety policies and procedures in line with changes in standards, legislation, and best practice.

Ensure RBH has robust and clear objectives and key performance indicators which are developed and maintained to direct and drive service delivery in relation to H&S.

Ensure there is a robust, regular, and comprehensive programme of H&S audits and inspections delivered across RBH’s premises, systems, and work activities.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest levels of safe working practices and raise safety awareness to ensure H&S is a core activity of RBH.
