Job Description
An operational support role that sits alongside the Senior Delivery Manager, this position is going to call for a technical background when it comes to what the full fibre networks should look like, so that high level technical knowledge within FTTP is going to be essential. Will be responsible for the overall fibre delivery of multiple project opportunities.
The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for assisting the SMD with a number of projects, assist with design / pre site Walk-outs to provide clear and accurate information on the network build and to make sure a close working relationship is formed between the commercial and delivery team, Sub Cons and Client.
To ensure successful delivery of any opportunities it is vital that the Junior PM can form a close working relationship with the Senior Delivery manager, Senior Commercial Manager and Senior Programme Manager.
The Junior PM ideally should have experience and knowledge of PIA networks, along with the associated activities: TRR and A55 submission, the use of NOI’s and NA’s and how to raise them, able to navigate the Openreach portal including client systems. The ability to interpret technical design such as Fibre Allocation Sheets and Straight Line drawings will be a key, common component in the role, with a view to ensure Testing and Handover of completed fibre networks for the client is captured accurately at as-built stage.
Always maintain ULC standards within the team and to the client and their representatives.
Own the successful completion of pre-enablement activities for each opportunity from a planning, Technical specification on each Fibre Build opportunity
Work closely with the Senior Delivery Manager to ensure Sub Con resource is in place and right sized for each opportunity
Work closely with the commercial manager to ensure any complex or challenging sections on route are captured within commercial conversations
Lead on all PIA activity ensuring all Network Adjustments and NOI’s are raised in good time for works start.
Familiarity with Street works Regulation and Codes of Practice in particular NRSWA and associated Permitting processes
Qualifications
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Organised
Proven experience in the delivery of FTTP/FTTH including civils activities, PIA infrastructure and processes (e.g. A55s, wayleaves, street works)
Well-developed organisational and planning skills including schedule and scope management. •
Risk and Issue Management experience.
Change control experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Time management / able to work to deadlines
Self-motivated and proactive
Able to develop, establish and maintain customer and internal relationships
Able to drive results through planning the delivery of the project within the project timescales, making decisions and providing solutions where appropriate.
