An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to join a small but busy People Team on a fixed term basis for 9 months. Supporting the People Manager, you will advise managers on a wide range of employment law matters, people related processes and procedures. Coupled with this, the ideal candidate will have a passion for employee engagement and/or Learning and Development and have a fresh approach to the overall people journey to add value to the Global People Strategy for a temporary period.
Responsibilities of HR Assistant include:

Advising managers on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment law.

Support on case management; including, Absence Management, Occupational Health referrals.

Escalating areas of concern to the People Manager as appropriate.

Contributing to HR metric reporting and identify trends.

Supporting the recruitment processes.

Assisting with HR activities, including reward schemes and internal communications.

Assisting with the planning and delivery of Manager training.
Candidate Requirements:

1- 2-years’ experience at HR Assistant/Administrator level.

Knowledge of employment legislation preferred.

Experience of creating, implementing, and organising employee engagement initiatives within a business.

Excellent interpersonal skills, good communicator, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.

Travel to the Birmingham office monthly.
