Purchasing Coordinator
Contract - Upto £14.50 per hour
Location: Poole
We are currently supporting our client with a Purchasing coordinator. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for supply chain management and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management: Request order confirmations from suppliers and ensure they meet our company's requirements and terms. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
Purchase Order Management: Oversee due and overdue purchase orders to maintain accurate delivery dates. Expedite orders as needed to ensure timely delivery and minimize disruptions.
Shortage Management: Actively progress shortages with suppliers and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.
Operational Support: Provide essential support to operational and project purchasing teams, assisting in the smooth execution of procurement processes.
Data Accuracy: Update and maintain accurate records in our SAP system, ensuring all procurement data is current and reliable.
Health & Safety: Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies, maintaining safe working practices for yourself and others.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Communication & Customer Relations: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Cost Effectiveness: Demonstrated ability to make cost-effective decisions that benefit the company's bottom line.
Teamwork & Cooperation: Collaborative team player with strong cooperative skills, able to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
Organizational & Facilitation Skills: Excellent organizing skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and ensure objectives are met efficiently.
Presentation & Reporting: Ability to present information clearly and effectively, both in written reports and verbal presentations.
Technical Proficiency: Competence in using IM tools and SAP systems to manage procurement activities.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
