HGV 2 Delivery Driver
(Dry Ice)

40 hours + per week plus overtime
We are seeking an experienced HGV2 delivery driver to join the friendly team of our well-known global client who deal with the manufacture and distribution of solid CO2 (Dry Ice). You will be an experienced Delivery Driver with excellent customer service skills, a “can do” and flexible approach, providing timely deliveries of Dry Ice and collection of empty bins, who loves working in an extremely fast moving and demanding customer environment.
Key Responsibilities HGV 2 Driver:
Provide timely deliveries of Dry Ice and collection of empty bins; liaising with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all customer delivery requirements are met.
As a representative of Nippon Gases, it is important that you conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
Be prepared to occasionally “night-out,” in order to complete a delivery
Driving our 18t and 26t delivery vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring that the rules of the Highway Code are followed at all times.
Carrying out daily checks of the vehicle
Completing defect sheets and making Logistics Coordinator or Senior Driver aware of any issues.
Checking loaded containers, against daily manifests to ensure that all goods are on board the vehicle prior to leaving the yard.
Ensuring the load is safe and secure prior to leaving the yard.
Delivering Dry Ice to customers within the timeframes specified on the daily manifest, via electronic delivery system
Reporting of safety issues on the road and at customer sites
Remaining compliant with working time directive at all timesPersonal Specification HGV 2 Driver:
HGV Licence – Class 2
Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
Excellent safety record
Excellent communication skills
Good geographical knowledge of the UK
