Accounts Assistant
Think Accountancy & Finance is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team of an established business in Chesham. This is a maternity cover role requiring an immediate start. The duration is approximately 9 months.
About the Role
Upon visiting the business, it was evident from the moment of arrival that you will be joining a friendly team. The current Accounts Assistant plays a crucial role, interacting with sales, operations, and management. We need someone who excels at building strong working relationships and managing a varied workload.
The company uses bespoke accountancy software, which is user-friendly and for which full training will be provided. However, experience with cloud-based software is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Processing invoices
Bank reconciliations
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments
Maintain files and liaise with vendors, resolving queries
Maintain client credit control
Assist with month-end closing
Assist with stock adjustments
Liaise with other departments
General administration tasks
Requirements
AAT qualification desirable
Strong Excel skills
Attention to detail
Ability to build strong relationships
Clous based software experience desirable
Additional Information
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller
Fully responsible for company invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end assistance
This is not a progressive role and requires significant experience in bookkeeping or as an Accounts Assistant
Office-based role: 9am - 5:30pm
