An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join our team as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The role offers the scope to make a positive impact both internally with colleagues across the business and through wider society via our Charity endeavours and Social Value activities. We are looking for a dynamic, strategic thinker who will bring vision and insight to help inform our financial strategy and play a vital role as part of the Senior Management team.
The CFO will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organisation, supporting its mission through strategic financial management, transparency, and accountability.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leveraging AI, financial, and other business, data to unlock our understanding of future trends that accelerate, innovate and sustain the long-term growth of the business bringing foresight to our financial strategy and budget planning.
Develop a robust financial strategy with the Group MD, balancing innovation and risk minimization.
Maintain LHCPG’s Reserves and Treasury policies, ensuring compliant and sustainable risk and management strategies are in place
Provide leadership and guidance to finance, accounting, IT, and risk and governance teams.
Lead the annual Group financial and tax planning cycle, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the development and implementation of Group budgets, working with departmental budget holders.
Facilitate ongoing stress testing of financial plans to monitor progress against agreed outcomes.
Prepare and oversee financial reporting for the LHC Group Board, regional executive committees, and regional teams.
Overseeing and managing the company's pension arrangements. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating associated risks. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise the pension plan and effectively communicate with employees regarding their benefits. Your strategic oversight will ensure that our pension schemes are sustainable and aligned with our long-term financial goals.
Ensure the risk and governance functions are proactive, regularly reviewing and updating the group risk register.
Oversee IT team performance to ensure high-quality systems that support the business and core Group goals.
Ensure compliance with relevant governance codes for all tax and governance reporting.
Engage with LHC Regional Business Units to understand their needs and tailor support services for exceptional stakeholder experiences
What You Need:
Demonstrate gravitas and an influential leadership style
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance role with a record of leading high-performing teams.
Proven ability to forge internal and external partnerships to deliver results.
Strong academic background with a BA, MA, or MBA in Finance or Accounting, and a professional qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and strategic business thinking.
Effective resource manager, including people, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Dynamic, energetic, and adaptable individual with a positive and supportive attitude.
Good organisational and administrative skills, capable of working on own initiative.

Basic salary on CO3 starting at £100,291pa
